Gays For Liberty – Mission Statement

We refuse to let the radicals in the LGBT(etc) movement define the whole gay community.

To those gays in the LGB and T(S) allies who say extremists have taken over and want to abandon the LGBT community entirely, we ask you this: would you so easily abandon your house, your precinct, your county, your state, even your country, just because radicals misrepresent you? Would you hand over everything we’ve fought for without resistance? We don’t think so. This is our community as well, and it should not be surrendered without a fight.

Now we issue you a challenge: Don’t you think it’s time to reclaim what is rightfully ours? It’s our community, and we will not let them take it. Damn them, we won’t let them, and neither should you.

Gays For Liberty was founded to defend the rights and freedoms guaranteed to every American under the Constitution, without apology, without silence, and without surrender. We exist to protect the hard-won liberties of gay Americans and to call out any political party, leader, or movement that seeks to erase, tokenize, or exploit us.

We did not break free from extremism’s grip just to kneel on any party’s porch. Gays For Liberty stands for gay conservatives, classical liberals, moderates, centrists, independents, unaffiliated, and libertarians who choose to live visibly and proudly, not as mascots, not as bargaining chips, and not as shadows in someone else’s movement.

This is our community, our country, and our Constitution. We will not hand it over to radicals who misrepresent us, nor to politicians who see us as expendable. We challenge every gay American who still values freedom to reclaim what is rightfully ours. We will not be erased, silenced, or defined by anyone but ourselves.

Our mission is simple and uncompromising: Liberty first. Gay rights defended. Truth spoken to power wherever that power hides.
